QA passed: fix-157 rebased onto dev (resolved CSP-safe markup conflict in new.html: submenu/hidden classes instead of inline display:none), merged as PR #158. CI test+docker success; deployed to palette-dev (image digest 1f20f1ea). Live CDP browser test on /new: custom-expiry submenu opens on Custom, accepts 42d, closes when another option picked; burn row opens and burnreads=3 set; Create via real UI path produced paste 42e8rs with reads_remaining=2 persisted. No CSP console violations; version label dev.
