Fix #207: left-align the settings dark mode toggle per owner revision

Closing as superseded: the left-align fix landed via fix-207-r2 (PR #213, merged c320fa0) and is verified live on palette-dev. Branch fix-207 deleted per branch hygiene.

Paste gutter numbers drift from wrapped lines (inter-block newline text nodes render as phantom rows)
